Christmas photo shoot with the Nottingham Panthers

FM Sudafix with the Panthers
2010 has been a very special year for the FM Sudafix Group and one of the highlights has been sponsoring the GMB Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey Club. This form of giving back to the communities of Nottingham has been enhanced through less promoted generous acts, which occur all over the world as well as hour home city.

The Christmas festive period has long been associated with acts of giving and good will and when it came to determining how to communicate this to FM Sudafix customers Communications Director Sean Elliott-Maher immediately knew the method: “I wanted to see respected professional athletes wearing silly Santa hats, and I knew GMB Nottingham Panthers GM Gary Moran would like the idea and support me to make that happen. You’d think that the players may have been less than impressed but in truth the guys were fantastic about it. I was so impressed with how the players were prepared to throw themselves in to the spirit of what we were doing, which is the sort of attitude that makes me very proud to be a Panthers fan. It is easy in this world to take yourself too seriously, and if we cannot take the time to try and raise a smile at Christmas then that is a very sorry state of affairs.”

The photoshoot has provided a range of special photographs which are likely to be seen in forthcoming Panthers match night programmes, as well as the official FM Sudafix Christmas e-card; also these will be made available on Flickr. The Santa hats worn by the players at the shoot will be available as part of the shirt auction after the Elite League match between the GMB Nottingham Panthers and Hull Stingrays at the Trent FM Arena Sunday 5th December.

The photoshoot was attended by the GMB Nottingham Panthers, Gary Moran (Panthers GM) and by FM Sudafix representatives John Maher (Technical Director), Calum Heath (General Manager), Russell Downer (Operations Director) and Sean Elliott-Maher (Communications Director).
